Who we are

Safe Hands Academy is led by Coach Patrick Mahon, who brings over four years of experience coaching at UC Santa Barbara Women’s Soccer and working with goalkeepers from youth to collegiate levels. Patrick’s passion for the position and dedication to his players are the driving forces behind the academy.

We’re not just another training program — we’re a community built on trust, respect, and a shared love for the art of goalkeeping. Whether you’re new to the position or preparing for college-level play, we’re here to help you become the best goalkeeper you can be.

Join us at Safe Hands Academy and discover what it means to be truly unstoppable between the posts.

What We Stand For

At Safe Hands Academy, we believe that every goalkeeper deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. We stand for more than just teaching the technical skills of goalkeeping; we believe in building confident, resilient, and adaptable athletes who excel both on and off the field.

We stand for:
Dedication — Every goalkeeper is unique, and we tailor our training to fit their goals and skill level.
Empowerment — We empower players to take ownership of their development and become leaders in their teams.
Excellence — We set high standards and help goalkeepers rise to meet them, with a focus on growth and continuous improvement.
Community — We foster a supportive environment where goalkeepers can thrive, learn, and share their passion for the game.
